Assistant Quality Assurance Manager

The Assistant Quality Assurance Manager is selected and appointed by the Quality Assurance Manager based on their operational expertise and knowledge of Company activities, but they must not have any daily activity in the functional area to be audited. The Assistant Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. The work of Assistant Quality Assurance Manager is to coordinate the internal and external activities required to meet quality standards and requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations. Assistant Quality Assurance Manager looks actively at ways of changing outdated processes, identify new opportunities and share good practice. He/She liaise with other departments and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly.


Qualification Requirements
  • Minimum knowledge requirement – a Bachelor Degree or Higher in any fields or equivalent – Aviation fields are advantage
  • Minimum audit requirement – a 7 previous internal audits (within 1 year)
  • Minimum training requirement – Internal or External Auditor Training Courses, Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Minimum experience requirement – at least 3-5 years of working experiences in airlines or aviation related industries
  • English proficiency skill – TOEIC score result of 750
  • Strong English Communication Skill, both written and spoken proficiency
  • Knowledgeable in quality management system and safety management system as well as its policies, objectives and applications
  • Knowledgeable in service quality as well as aviation rules and regulations
  • Be familiar with the operations specifications, conditions and restrictions of company AOC
  • Knowledgeable in IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) as well as IOSA Standards and Recommended Practices (ISARPs)
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 requirements
  • Skills in computer literacy with MS Office applications, presentation, communication, negotiation, analytical skill, decision making, problem solving, interpersonal skills and coaching
  • Abilities to work under pressure, non-aggressive management style, team building skill and non-biased
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in preparing internal and external audit plan and checklist as well as carrying out audits
  • Scrutinizing remedial actions for audit findings and concerns as well as negotiating time frame to complete remedial actions
  • Preparing audit reports and following up the audit findings, observations as well as corrective actions
  • Attending meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes
  • Researching and assessing how well quality management processes are working and recording the results using software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Providing ad hoc advice and guidance to managers and staff at all levels, sometimes by delivering briefing sessions
  • Performing risk assessments on quality management activities and using this information to guide what to cover in audits
  • Providing support and guidance to the Quality Assurance Manager on how to handle new opportunities
  • Agreeing recommendations with relevant staff members and Internal Auditors to make improvements to operations and assisting to secure backing for them in meetings
  • Preparing reports to highlight issues and problems and distributing the reports to the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Assessing how well the business is complying to rules and regulations and informing management whether any issues need addressing
  • Updating and monitoring NCR Status Log and following up Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Action Plan(CAP) and Final Action Taken (FAT)
  • Supervising and controlling Quality Assurance and Quality Control Supervisors as well as Quality Assurance and Quality Control Supervisor
  • Other quality activities and special projects as assigned and delegated by the Quality Assurance Manager.
